The president of Health for Schools & Communities Foundation , Dr. Raymond Chimezie, who was awarded 2016-17, U.S. Fulbright Scholarship for teaching and research in Nigeria has completed the program and returned to the United States. During this period, Dr. Chimezie taught at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and equally conducted research on the need to introduce advanced practice nursing in the country's health system. Dr. Chimezie, also reached out to communities, school, and colleges/universities and spoke extensively on issues impacting access to healthcare in Nigeria.
According to him, "Our organization is committed to improving population health and would not relent in going the extra miles to improve people's access to healthcare" He called for donations from charitable minded people , and added, "we are fully an exempt 501(c) 3, organization and any donations to us are completely tax deductible" Dr. Chimezie also called for volunteers to help in the foundation's missions.
